Foster’s EcoPro G2 has come out on top in the ‘Sustainable Catering Equipment Manufacturer’ category of the Footprints Awards, set up to recognise sustainability in the food-service industry. Foster’s most technically-advanced and energy efficient model to date, the EcoPro G2 range, features a more robust cabinet design than previous offerings, new energy conscious controllers and improved ventilation and insulation. All the new developments have, the company claims, brought the cost to run an Eco Pro G2 EP700H annually to just £65.30, a figure derived from independent laboratory tests. The judging panel for the category reviewed design, materials, life-cycle, proof of efficiency and operational track record and compared the Foster EcoPro G2 range to Exclusive Ranges, Jestic, Rendisk and Victor Manufacturing before making their decisions. Victor was named as the runner-up for its Optimax refrigerated retail merchandising units.
