The Foster KU1H is a 600 litre single door upright refrigerator from the KORE by Foster Gamko range, holding chilled stock between +2°C and +8°C. It stands 1,965mm tall and 700mm wide and is designed to pass through standard doorways, so it suits kitchens with tight access and makes replacing an existing fridge more straightforward. Energy grade B and R290 refrigerant help keep running costs and environmental impact down, and it is made in Foster's UK factory.

Delivery, installation and cleaning 

Getting a full-height fridge from the delivery vehicle to its final position is often the hardest part of the job, particularly in older buildings with narrow corridors and tight corners. The KU1H's lower height profile is what allows it through standard doorways, and with a gross weight of 115kg it is worth having a clear route planned before it arrives. Castors come fitted as standard, so the cabinet wheels into place once inside and rolls out again whenever you need to clean behind and underneath it. 

Energy grade B and R290 refrigerant 

The KU1H is rated energy grade B, with an Energy Efficiency Index (EEI) of 31. EEI is the figure the energy grade is calculated from, and the lower it is, the more efficiently the cabinet uses power. Cooling comes from R290, a natural hydrocarbon refrigerant rather than a fluorinated gas, with a global warming potential of 3. Find out more in our guide to R290 and F-Gas. 

Storage space and layout 

Of the 600 litres gross volume, 433 litres is usable net storage. Three GN 2/1 size shelves come as standard, each measuring 650 x 530mm, and more shelves with tray slides can be added when you order. An internal light makes stock easier to find at a glance, and the door is self-closing, so it shuts behind staff with their hands full and helps the cabinet hold temperature. The stainless steel finish inside and out is simple to wipe clean. 

Built for hot kitchens 

The KU1H meets ISO Climate Class 5, so it is designed to run efficiently in ambient temperatures up to 40°C. That matters wherever the fridge sits near ovens, ranges or dishwashers and the room runs warm through service. 

KU1H or EcoPro G3 EP 700 H? 

The KU1H is the right fit for kitchens that need dependable everyday chilled storage from a trusted UK manufacturer at a more accessible price.
