Foster Launches the KORE Range, Seven New Models for Busy Kitchens
KORE by Foster Gamko launched in September 2026. Foster’s new range arrives with seven models across upright cabinets, refrigerated counters and blast chillers, and every one of them is available to order from Foster-Fridge.com now.
KORE takes over from the Foster Xtra range, model by model. It brings the expertise of the UK’s largest commercial refrigeration manufacturer to kitchens at a lower price point than Foster EcoPro G3, and every model is built to keep its energy use, and your running costs, under control.

A New Range, Not a Refresh
KORE is a completely new design rather than an update to Xtra. Foster developed it using what it learned from the Xtra range, with the aim of building a more reliable and more efficient machine.
The changes are clearest on the upright cabinets. The KU1H and KU1L each move up an energy grade on the XR 600 H and XR 600 L they replace, with the KU1H rated B and the KU1L rated C. Both stand at a lower 1965mm and are designed to fit through standard doorways, making delivery and installation easier, while keeping the same 600 litre gross volume.
Stainless steel inside and out is now standard across the KORE cabinets and counters. The Xtra uprights came with an aluminium interior as standard, so the move to an all-stainless finish is a significant step up, giving a harder-wearing cabinet that is easier to keep clean.
The Seven KORE Launch Models
The launch covers the cabinets, counters and blast chillers that most commercial kitchens rely on every day.
Upright cabinets. The KU1H refrigerator and KU1L freezer are single door cabinets, holding +2°C to +8°C and -18°C to -21°C. They are the first KORE uprights, with double door models and KORE versions of Foster’s Economy and Slimline cabinets to follow. Until those arrive, the Xtra double door and Economy cabinets and the Foster Slimline range are still available to order as normal.
Refrigerated counters. The KC2H and KC3H both hold +2°C to +8°C at a working height of 850mm. The KC2H has two door sections and 280 litres of gross volume, and the KC3H has three door sections and 435 litres.
Blast chillers. The KB5, KB6 and KB10 offer chilling capacities of 10kg, 20kg and 35kg across 5, 6 and 10 levels. All three are controlled through an IP65-rated touchscreen with simple programmes.
Every KORE launch model runs on R290 refrigerant and is rated Climate Class 5. The cabinets and counters sit on castors and are built in Foster’s UK factory.

Standard specification units ordered by 1pm can be delivered the next working day to eligible postcodes, and any change to the standard specification may extend the lead time. Where KORE Sits in the Foster Range
KORE brings Foster refrigeration to a wider range of kitchens for a smaller investment. When did the Foster KORE range launch?
KORE by Foster Gamko launched in September 2026 with seven models and more will be added to the range in stages.
Will a KORE model fit the same space as the Xtra model it replaces?
The KC2H and KC3H counters have exactly the same footprint as the XR 2 H and XR 3 H. The KU1H and KU1L uprights need 25mm more width and 20mm more depth than the XR 600 H and XR 600 L, so measure the space before ordering. The KORE blast chillers keep the same 755mm width as the Xtra blast chillers they replace.
Can I choose a different door hinging on a KORE model?
The KU1H and KU1L can be hinged on the left or right. Changes to the standard specification may extend the lead time, including next working day delivery.
Do KORE blast chillers also blast freeze?
No, KORE blast chillers are designed for blast chilling only. For blast freezing, Foster’s Premier BCT range includes blast chiller freezers and dedicated BFT blast freezers.
What warranty comes with KORE?
Every KORE model comes with a two year parts and labour warranty.
